Omega 7 Benefits: How Omega 7 Fatty Acids Benefit Your Health

Pills

There’s been a lot of talk lately about different Omega 7 fatty acids (and the other Omegas – 3, 6 and 9.) It can become confusing knowing which Omega fatty acids are “essential” and “non-essential.” All of these fatty acids have some amazing health benefits that you don’t want to miss out on. Omega 7 fatty acids, in particular, have some health advantages that a lot of people don’t even know about. Here are some of the ways Omega 7 benefits you and how it can increase your overall health.

Hydration

Hydration is essential for both the inside and outside of your body. Omega 7 benefits you from the inside out and is an excellent way to improve the overall hydration of your body. Omega 7 fatty acids help lubricate the mucous membranes, which helps with dry eyes as well as vaginal dryness common in many postmenopausal women. Externally, you’ll notice a significant improvement to your skin and lips because Omega 7 will provide a natural barrier to keep moisture in the skin.

Gastrointestinal Health

Omega 7 benefits your gastrointestinal tract and can help with excess acidity, ulcers, and indigestion. Gastrointestinal discomforts like pain and burning in the stomach are often eased when regularly taking an Omega 7 supplement. Just as lubricated mucous membranes can help ease the previously mentioned dryness issues, GI issues are reduced or eliminated as a result of better lubrication. When large amounts of Omega 7 builds up in the lining of the stomach, it helps protect the linings. Omega 7 fatty acids can help with the chronic pain that often comes from acidic foods or ulcers. When your GI system is running smoothly, your energy increases and you feel healthier overall.

Youthful Appearance

Omega 7 benefits your skin in many ways and aids the collagen in your skin, which helps heal from various types of damage. Skin problems can also be eliminated with Omega 7 fatty acids. This includes acne and other problems caused by inflammation. In addition, healthy, hydrated skin helps prevent loss of skin elasticity so that skin is protected against wrinkles. You’ll be amazed by how much younger you’ll look and feel when regularly taking Omega 7 supplements like the Omega 7 Blend. Your hair will be shinier and your nails stronger and healthier.

Healthy Heart

The way Omega 7 benefits your heart is amazing. It can help lower your risk of diabetes and heart disease because it helps regulate cholesterol and blood sugar levels. In addition to regulating these levels, Omega 7 can help reduce fat cell accumulation and keep artery walls smooth and strong so that blood can flow easily. Omega 7 fatty acids also help lower bad cholesterol and raise good cholesterol. All of these factors improve the health of the cardiovascular system overall.

So now that you know how Omega 7 benefits your overall health, the next question is, how do you get it? There are many Omega 7 supplements like SIBU’s Omega 7 Support Soft Gels or Omega 7 Pure that can help you get the Omega 7 your body needs to be healthy.

There are also many Omega 7 foods that provide health benefits as well. Here are some of the best foods to find Omega 7 fatty acids in:

  • Sea buckthorn
  • Macadamia oil
  • Dandelion oil
  • Avocado oil
  • Pomegranate oil
  • Tuna
  • Salmon
  • Sardines
  • Anchovies
  • Herring

When you look at all the ways Omega 7 benefits your body, it’s easy to see why you need more Omega 7 fatty acids in your body. Whether you get it through Omega 7 supplements or through food, it’s something that will help you feel and look your very best.

Choosing the Right Supplement for Your Skin Type

Supplement

Caring properly for your skin is one of the best things you can do for your body. Your skin absorbs substances it comes into contact with, including the toxins and chemicals present in our environment. Since the skin is also the largest organ in the body, it plays huge role in your overall health. Supplements like sea buckthorn products are important part in supporting not only your skin health, but your immune health as well.

What Is Your Skin Type?

Not every supplement is best for every person. That’s because there are different skin types that all need different types of care. Your skin may be especially dry or especially oily. You may suffer from conditions like acne or eczema. Your skin might be sensitive to certain ingredients or easily damaged by sun and exposure. You might even have a combination of several of these skin types!

What to Look For

When looking for skin care products, choose one designed to address the issues your skin struggles with. People with dry skin–and related issues like eczema–need products to help their skin retain moisture. People with acne and overly oily skin, on the other hand, can benefit from cleansing products that remove toxins and debris from the pores. Hypoallergenic products without extra fragrances or chemicals are good things to look for as well–especially for people with sensitive skin.

Because people who make sea buckthorn supplements and other skin care products know that your skin isn’t the same as everyone else’s, you’ll find a wide variety of products to choose from, letting you select the one that’s perfect for you.

Oils vs. Pulp

Even within the fairly limited range of sea buckthorn supplements, you’ll find different choices.  Sea buckthorn supplements come in two major categories: sea buckthorn seed/fruit oils and the berry’s pulp. The fruit oil contains virtually all the omega 7 content, which, when taken internally, promotes healing of the skin from the inside out. Sea buckthorn seed oil provides the added benefits of omega 3 and omega 9.

The pulp or puree of sea buckthorn gives the full spectrum of nutrients provided by this little orange berry. Over 190 nutrients and omegas 3, 6, 9, and 7 provide whole body nutrition with added skin enhancing benefits.

Sea Buckthorn Oil: What Should You Know?

Oil

If you use natural remedies to supplement your health, one you may have come across is sea buckthorn oil. Many people claim it can help combat a number of ailments, so we have a breakdown of facts about this oil and what people use it for.

What It Is

Sea buckthorn plant are deciduous shrubs that typically grow in dry, sandy areas. The fruit, leaves, and flowers of the bush are all harvested to make different medicines, but the oil can either be extracted from the berries or the seeds. Look for sea buckthorn oils that are exacted using a clean process, such as Co2 Critical. The oil can be consumed in several forms, most notably as soft gels and juice, though some people will also put it in foods and skin creams.

What It Does

One of the most common uses for buckthorn oil is to help treat skin diseases such as acne and eczema. Sea buckthorn oil benefits for skin also range as far as promoting the healing of sunburns, bedsores, cuts, and a number of other problems.

Since this oil is high in antioxidants, it’s also often used as a general immune system builder. Many people buy sea buckthorn berry oil online and add it to their daily routines for various other properties. For instance, its anti-inflammatory and liver-cleansing properties mean that people take it to help prevent cancer. Its omega-7s may provide some relief for those suffering adrenal fatigue. It also may help regulate blood sugar, which is good for people with diabetes, and it also may help lower cholesterol, which can boost your cardiovascular health.

Why Vegans & Vegetarians Are Facing A Collagen Dilemma (Plus An Easy Solution)

Every few years it seems there’s a new “it” trend when it comes to skin care. You remember the headlines you saw about coconut oil and turmeric, right? And let’s not forget about charcoal! What most people don’t realize is that these are not just “phases” but merely ancient knowledge resurfacing decades, and even centuries later.

What’s the latest trend sweeping through the natural skin care web? As Delicious Living recently spotlighted in their blog, the “newest” Anti-aging all star is… drum roll please… collagen!

What is collagen?

Found all throughout our bodies organs and tissues—skin, bones and joints, nails and hair—collagen is the most abundant protein that helps to keep wrinkles at bay by improving skin’s firmness, elasticity, and integrity, as well as keeping our bones and joints in tip top shape.

What’s the main problem people face with collagen?

While abundant in our younger years, once we reach 25, our body’s collagen production starts to noticeably decline. After this age, it becomes much harder to reverse the effects of aging and collagen loss.

How can I build up my collagen?

Health practitioners all over the world agree that the most readily available forms of collagen come from bone broth, poultry broth, as well as marine collagen. All these food sources have been shown to improve skin’s elasticity and smoothness.

But where are vegetarians and vegans, who naturally consider the above foods strictly “off limits” supposed to turn to for their collagen supplementation?

For the vegan who follows a meat-free lifestyle, don’t give up on collagen yet…

Remember a few paragraphs up when we mentioned that collagen is a protein? Just like other proteins, this means that it is made up of building blocks, or, amino acids. Amino acids come together with a little help from vitamin C. Dean Nuels from AlgaeCal put it this way, “Think of amino acids like Lego pieces and vitamin C like your brilliant grandchild who can build the entire castle set with only one glance at the instructions.”

To put it even simpler… without vitamin C, there simply is no collagen!

So, any high quality, preferably plant and organic based source of vitamin C is an excellent collagen precursor, and right at the collagen frontier in skincare. With ten times the amount of vitamin C content of oranges, sea buckthorn is a plant based method of naturally stimulating collagen production in the body.

A few other vegetarian-friendly sources of vitamin C that will stimulate collagen include broccoli, red peppers, papaya, kiwi, and kale.

Where Can You Find The Best Organic Sea Buckthorn Oil?

What the other guys don’t want you to know…. who has the best sea buckthorn, or as we like to call it, sea berry?

More and more companies are jumping on the sea buckthorn oil boat every day, claiming they’re the best of the best. But how do we know which sea buckthorn varieties are hype and which are true?

I’m not here to tell you who’s wrong and who’s right, but I am going to give you a few facts on the how and why we believe we truly excel in the world of organic sea buckthorn (sea berry)

Sea buckthorn is our specialty, it’s what we do…

Our entire business relies on the quality and the results this little orange berry can bring.

So with all the new and “improved” sea buckthorn varieties surfacing, it seems daily, how do you know which is the right pick?

Hopefully, we’ll answer a lot of your questions right here and now. If not, be sure to leave them in the comments section.

But first, what is sea buckthorn?

In one sentence, it’s whole food beauty nutrition, with some pretty amazing health benefits, too.

Sea buckthorn, also known as sea berry, is a tiny pea sized fruit that grows in various areas across Europe, Asia, and Canada.

Rich in over 190 naturally occurring nutrients, omegas 3, 9, and the elusive skin repairing, omega 7. Sea buckthorn has been used for over 1,300 years for its various beauty and health benefits.

Not all sea buckthorn is created equal…..

Don’t take our word for it, here’s a quick testimonial pulled from an Amazon customer review:

“DEFINITIVE DIFFERENCE -THIS BRAND IN SPECIFIC- I noticed that my hair had lost its vitality- just did not seem healthy and had lost volume and shine- seemed thinner. So I re-ordered this particular brand AGAIN- to try it out versus the New Chapter brand and one other on here that I had tried also-

My experience was overwhelmingly positive but I do take 4 to 6 per day- which is a lot but my skin reversed itself in age seemingly and regained its shine and life in a major way- this brand of SIBU adds real glow to your skin….”

That’s just one customer, speaking on one benefit.

So you’re probably asking, what’s the Sibu difference?

Out of the many varieties of sea buckthorn that grow across the globe, there’s one specific type which has been tested and proven to have the highest nutritional levels and highest omega 7 content over any other variety.

It’s called turkistanica….. The best sea buckthorn in the world.

But again, don’t take our word for it. Take a gander at these third-party analyses measuring the percentage levels of omega 7.

This unique type of sea buckthorn (turkestanica) grows high in the Himalayan Mountain tops where the environment is harsh, the soil is tough and the air is thin.

These extremes in environment help create some of the best sea buckthorn in the world.

I know what you’re thinking, “So what, anybody can claim their sea buckthorn is from the pristine Himalayan Mountains”.

I say this, “put your berries where your mouth is!”

We are the only company that harvests from our own wild-growing sea buckthorn fields. Untouched by any type of harmful man-made process, we let Mother Nature do all the work.

And I’m sure she does it better than we could ever replicate!

Want proof?! Go and buy any other brand of sea buckthorn liquid supplement, pour yourself a glass and you’ll see a dull, tainted rusty brown color fill your cup.

Now, try our SIBU Omega 7 Pure (100% pure sea buckthorn, NOTHING else added) and you’ll be met with a bright, vibrant orange that just screams LIFE!

What sets Sibu apart from the other guys:

  • Hand harvested berries– only the ripe berries that are ready to be consumed ever make it into our finished product so you get perfectly crafted, wholefood nutrition.
  • Harvested in the early morning hours- the sun eats away and depletes nutrients in fruits as the day progresses. The early morning hours are when our sea buckthorn berries are at their best and most potent.
  • Same day processing– the moment you pick any type of fruit, you’ve taken it from its life force. It begins to die, it begins to lose nutrients. Processing our berries the same day they are harvested allows them to carry on more of the good stuff, ready for you to benefit from.

These are just a few of the direct actions we take to ensure you’re getting the best, highest quality, most nutritious sea buckthorn oil and supplements available anywhere!

Stay tuned for more Sibu, the best Sea Buckthorn, and Omega 7 news you won’t get anywhere else.

Omega 7 Pure: A Wholefood for Your Whole Body

What can SIBU Omega 7 Pure do for you? Well, just about everything!

Okay, maybe not everything, but it does help in a variety of different ways.

We live in a world where so many foods we eat are causing sickness and disease instead of preventing it.

The problem isn’t that healthy foods aren’t out there, it’s finding the right ones that’s tough.

Many of the foods we find in our local supermarket have been so heavily processed that our body receives very little, if any, nutritional benefit.

Imagine your car running low on fuel, low on oil, low on coolant, low on transmission fluid, low on everything your car needs to run properly.

Imagine your car operating like this every day. Eventually, there’s going to be some damage. Our bodies work in similar ways…

Your Body Can Only Work With What You Give It!

If we’re not feeding our body what it needs to run at optimal levels, healthy functions begin to break down. And unless you’ve already taken action to improve your health and the foods you eat, this is how all of our bodies are operating day in and day out.

If you are already eating healthy and making positive changes to your diet, then BIG KUDOS to you! You’re well on the road to reaching your health goal.

But even with healthy diets and proper foods, we find that our bodies are still lacking many necessary nutrients to live vibrant, healthy lives.

This is why wholefoods play a vital role in our efforts to increase our overall health.

What about multi-vitamin supplements?

I’d say it’s better than taking nothing at all but they do have a major disadvantage. Most vitamin supplements are manmade and combined with other so-called “healthy” ingredients to create a once-a-day multi-vitamin.

The problem with these vitamins is that because they’re manmade, they’re foreign to our body.

Our body doesn’t know how to properly use the nutrients to their highest potential. Nutrients that don’t get used don’t produce any positive results.

Lost nutrients = lost money, and more importantly, NO significant health improvements.

Why are Whole Foods So Beneficial?

Wholefoods are highly nutritious foods found in nature, for example, the sea buckthorn berry.

Wholefoods are easily recognized by our bodies and are better able to break down, absorb, and effectively use all the nutrients for the most benefit.

Remember the famous (and very true) statement by Hippocrates, “Let food be thy medicine, and medicine be thy food”.

A Wholefood For You- Sibu 7 Pure

Sibu 7 Pure is 100% sea buckthorn berry puree, nothing else. By using only wild-grown & hand harvested sea buckthorn, you can rest assured you’re getting pure wholefood nutrition from Mother Nature herself. Remember, not all sea buckthorn is created equal – click here to learn more

Why Should I Consider SIBU Omega 7 Pure?

  • Sea buckthorn contains over 190 naturally occurring bio-active compounds for your whole body so you feel active and energized.
  • Wholefood nutrition helps strengthen your immune system- I like to say, “I don’t catch colds, colds catch me!”
  • Provides vegan based omega support including 3, 6, 9, and 7 minus the fishy oil smell.
  • Like omega 3 which helps lower bad cholesterol, the omega 7 found in Sibu Pure goes one step further & helps raise our good cholesterol levels so your heart stays strong & healthy.
  • Not to mention all the extra nourishment for you hair, skin, and nails. It’s beauty in a bottle!

I’ll leave you with this…. Eat foods as close to nature as possible. If you can’t find it in nature, you probably don’t need it.

Female Dryness – Michelle’s Success Story

Vaginal dryness is a common problem that just doesn’t seem to be discussed – and understandably so…

Clinical studies conducted by Finnish firm, Aromtech, have shown promising results for women combating vaginal dryness. (Click here if you missed our previous post on sea buckthorn and vaginal dryness)

While SIBU is geared toward helping problematic skin, we’re consistently getting positive feedback from women all over the world who have discovered a secret benefit by taking SIBU Omega 7 Support capsules.

Michelle struggled with vaginal dryness…

Here’s her story and how SIBU Omega-7 Supplements worked for her (and her boyfriend)

We’ll let Michelle tell you all about it…

“I can’t rave enough about this product! One day while in my local nutrition shop, a sales woman saw me looking at the omega oils and asked me if had tried the omega-7 sea buckthorn oil… I hadn’t. I’m always all about the hair and skin products – but she said something else that really piqued my interest.

She mentioned it helps with vaginal dryness. As a young woman, you wouldn’t think I’d have any issues with that, but sadly I do!

Since my early/mid 20’s I’ve struggled with it, and have used lubricants – but sometimes it’s just embarrassing and some boyfriends haven’t understood or dealt with it well – I guess thinking they’re  doing something wrong. I’m aware it could be a mental thing, but hell… this stuff really works!

I started using the New Chapter omega-7 gel tabs at first, but switched to SIBU after the first bottle and I believe it works much better! I take it daily… and have not used lubricant once since I started taking it consistently in February!

It’s truly liberating. I feel so much more confident, and sexy. I no longer have to stress about “am I ready to go.” My body was just not in the same place as my mind. I’m sure the stress was worsening the issue… so it’s nice to relieve that fear.

Sometimes I am truly shocked at how much moisture I’ve got going on now! So is my boyfriend, haha 🙂 We are BOTH happy customers. Supplements obviously don’t work for everyone, but it works for me 🙂 I’m 31 now, and I finally feel like a normal healthy woman.”

The Truth About Purified Omega 7, Sea Buckthorn, & Palmitic Acid

You’ve probably heard how beneficial omega 7 is for your whole body—your skin, losing weight, and keeping your energy levels stabilized. If you’ve spent any time researching omega 7, you’ve most likely found information that purified omega 7 supplements are the best. While the research may look convincing, it’s simply not true. Don’t let this misinformation deprive your body of the natural, safe and wholesome source of omega 7 that can be found in sea buckthorn.

Is omega 7 in sea buckthorn the same as omega 7 in fish oil?

While some people might try to tell you it doesn’t matter where you get your omega 7 oil from, that’s not exactly true. Omega 7 that is purified from fish oil is refined through a lengthy process that ends up stripping the nutrient of some of its most valuable qualities. It also has toxins from the sea water that are highly concentrated. If you want all the health benefits of omega 7 oil without the yucky stuff, look to the omega 7 supplements extracted from sea buckthorn.

Sea buckthorn undergoes minimal processing to extract the omega 7. Because it is already in a stable, clean state to begin with, it takes less processing to extract the goodness. Another positive aspect of omega 7 taken from sea buckthorn that it is completely vegan and cruelty-free. Since the omega 7 that is concentrated comes from a plant source rather than an animal one, it can be used by just about anyone

Still unsure about which omega 7 is better? Think about the amount of processing that goes into each omega 7 capsule. Fish oil omega 7, on the other hand, includes processing with bleaches, surfactants, and certain steps named “deacidification” and “recrystallization,” required to extract omega 7 oil from fish. Yuck! When you compare the simple process of obtaining omega 7 from sea buckthorn to the multi-step, chemical-heavy process of extraction from fish oil, it’s a simple choice to make.

Is palmitic acid good for you?

You may have heard that palmitic acid is bad for you and that omega 7 supplements from sea buckthorn are not safe because of the presence of palmitic acid. But that couldn’t be further from the truth. In short, there is nothing to worry about when it comes to palmitic acid. In fact, palmitic acid is in more things than you probably realize.

To help you understand just how unfounded this claim is, there is more palmitic acid present in dark chocolate and olive oil than there is in sea buckthorn. These are foods that are good for us in reasonable amounts and that most people would not hesitate to consume because they are considered healthy.

Like most things in life, too much of something can be a bad thing, and that’s certainly the case with palmitic acid. Although too much palmitic acid in your diet is not healthy, the amount of palmitic acid in a 1000 mg dose SIBU Omega-7 Support Soft Gels is under the 1% daily limit recommended by the WHO.

What foods contain omega 7?

In addition to the omega 7 that comes from sea buckthorn, there are other sources of omega 7 that might already be a part of your diet. Omega 7 oils like macadamia oil, dandelion oil, avocado oil, and pomegranate oil can be a healthy and tasty addition to your diet. Oily fish like tuna, salmon, sardines, anchovies, and herring are another way to add omega 7 to your diet.

But keep in mind, the amount of omega 7 you get into your system from food is minimal compared to what you would get from the SIBU Omega-7 Support Soft Gels.

What is omega 7 sea buckthorn oil good for?

If you’re already doing research on omega 7 nutrients, we probably don’t need to tell you all the wonderful things it can do for your body—but we will anyway. The healthy oil present in omega 7 will also lubricate your body’s systems and make your body function better. It will make your skin look younger and have fewer wrinkles, strengthen your heart and consequently your circulatory system, prevent acne breakouts, and help your blood sugar stay at a healthy level. It will also do wonders for your hair and nails.

The omega 7, found so purely in sea buckthorn, is truly a nutrient you don’t want to go without. As our body ages, it needs all the help it can get to keep in peak physical form. When your body gets older it requires a strong foundation to stand the test of age. Omega 7 supplements can help your body keep its youthful look and feel.

If you’re ready to take control of your health and experience the benefits of omega 7 in a plant-based, vegan form, order raw, unaltered nutrition from SIBU Omega-7 Support Soft Gels today. You’re going to look and feel amazing.

Below you’ll see that we’ve put together a series of slides to help debunk the myth that man-made, “purified” omega 7 supplements are superior to raw, unaltered wholefood nutrition. We’ll dive into more detail about the purification process required for each and why sea buckthorn is a key source of omega 7 that your body will thrive on.

Frequently Asked Questions:

Q: How much palmitic acid is in Omega-7 Support Gels?

A: The total amount of palmitic acid in a dose of Omega-7 Support Soft Gels is slightly less than 1% of the daily maximum limit the WHO (World Health Organization) recommends. One dose of the SIBU soft-gels contains about 40% Omega 7 (mostly palmitoleic acid and a little cis-vaccenic acid). Palmitic acid is bad in large quantities (as in most American diets) but 1 dose of 1000mg of SIBU soft-gels contains less than 1% of the recommended daily maximum so it’s negligible.

Q: What’s the daily recommended dose for the Omega-7 Support Gels?

A: The daily recommended dose for the Omega 7 Support is 2, 500mg soft gels/day.

Q: What’s the daily recommended dose for SIBU’s Omega-Pure

A: We recommend starting with 1 oz. per day. You can slowly increase from there up to 4 oz a day.

Q: Can Omega-7 Supplements help you lose weight?

A:  While omega 7 doesn’t necessarily make you lose weight, it does signal the body to stop storing excess fats to help keep weight off. Omega 7 has been shown in studies to help the metabolic system function properly. It triggers the body to burn fat rather than store it. Omega 7 Support is NOT a weight loss product, however, sea buckthorn oil and Omega 7 do have benefits that aid in fat use in the body.
