SIBU Among First to Replace Carrageenan in Vegetarian Soft Gel
Natural Products Insider published a press release regarding SIBU's use of new soft gel technology in the Omega-7 Support Soft Gels. Tapioca starch – StarchGelTM - replaces the use of Carrageenan in the SIBU soft gel, maintaining its vegan certification and broadening its customer appeal. The use of tapioca starch resolves the issues of gastrointestinal distress and inflammation that have been linked to the use of carrageenan. Tapioca Starch is naturally derived from the Cassava Root.
Omega 7 Support continues to provide all of the benefits of sea berry oils and Omega 7 for whole body health, including healthier skin, hair and nails. Dusty McMullin, Chief Operations and Manufacturing Officer at SIBU explains why this change has been made. "SIBU is excited to be one of the very first companies to adopt a tapioca-based vegetarian soft gel capsule for it's Omega 7 Support nutritional supplement. We are always looking for ways to improve and enhance our products and feel like this will be a positive change due to the growing concerns surrounding carrageenan in the market place."
